I we've been on this new clock-in system for about a month and a half. Last month was my 90-day review and they said I had one absence [3 tardies = 1 absence, 3 absences = too many]. Well, it was cleared up because training doesn't count against me. What a nice thing for them to do, right? I've been accidentally 30 minutes late twice in three months, a dumb thing for me to have to endure, but you get over it.

They tell me last week that I had 3 absences. 9 tardies in a matter of two months. . . that didn't make any sense since I just had my 90-day review and all turned out well. The new system, which I know how to run, has been screwing up my schedule and telling my bosses that I've not shown up for work, that I've shown up late, and even left halfway through my shift one day. How do I tell my bosses that their new system sucks if they don't think it does? They knocked me down from 3 absences to 1, which makes me one over par, but whatever.

I have a sort of friend who has well over his I-should-be-fired amount and it makes me hate my work. I put in effort and try to be nice to everyone because it's painful to be there no matter who you are, and I'm getting screwed at every corner.

I'm finding it hard to care about anything these days. In fact, the only thing I do care about is the fact that I can't care about anything. Seriously, it worries me. ~Wesley Gibson, Wanted.

I don't know about your Walmart, but we just had a new guy who started in my dept. (electronics) in late Feb.  How he stayed employed I'll never know.  He was everything you'd ever heard about a bad employee.  In the 4 months or so he was there, he had 7 no-call no-shows, 12 absences, and 14 lates.  He never learned 1 thing about using a Texlon, and never took a cyber-scholar.  He would waste time like no one I ever saw, and would get "lost" in the store. (We found him staring at fish, actually trying to mix paint for someone, etc.)  He knew NOTHING about anything (except Xbox 360's) He was never fired or coached.   Upon his review, he was told that he should start to improve!!!!!  When he finally gave his notice, he was asked if electronics was too much for him, he could have a job as a cashier!!!  Imagine that!!!
